The compost heap is turned every month and we are now ready to use the end product to improve our soil texture.

​Broccoli has produced some lovely heads, salads, peas and broadbeans are being picked, and our tomatoes have rocked up during the past month and are nearly ready for harvesting. Beds are being planted with flowers.

The beds around the car park have been tidied up. We have sown our seedlings of potatoes, salads, broccoli, broadbeans, peas, in some and others are ready for re-planting with flowers. Thanks to our neighbour who has supplied us with a variety of tomatoe plants.

The greenhouse project has now been completed with the surrounding granite pathways added around the greenhouse area.

We decided to replace the polytunnel attempt (see below) with two greenhouses. (It was too impractical to get the plastic cover taught over the second hand frame.) We'll keep the pictures below of the polytunnel for historic memories of all the hard work done!

​Some members with an interest in gardening  are building a poly-tunnel, using recycled  materials  - see the pictures below.
We have grown tomatoes, strawberries, peas, radishes  and  are currently building new raised beds for use next spring.
​By then we hope the poly-tunnel will be finished so that we can begin early planting of seeds for the new season.
